The City of Vista is opening its doors to a community art exhibition celebrating Día de los Muertos, with works from two dozen area artists exploring themes of remembrance and tradition.

The show will feature contributions from 26 local artists who have created pieces using 15 different artistic mediums. Visitors can expect to see a range of work including paintings, photographs, sculptures, and graphite drawings, all created to honor memory and loved ones who have passed.

A live theatrical performance by the Wabi Sabi Players is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m., presenting a 20-minute show featuring an original script and music based on the La Llorona legend.

The exhibition will be displayed at the Civic Center Gallery, located on the second floor at 200 Civic Center Drive. The gallery is open to the public Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
