Vista officials are requesting community feedback as they pursue state grant funding to develop a Community Resilience Center at Luz Duran Park, located at 979 N. Citrus Ave.
The proposed facility would function as a dual-purpose space, operating year-round as a community gathering place while also serving residents as a resource hub during emergency situations. Plans call for the center to occupy the site of a single-story structure that previously housed Sheriff's Office operations.
City administrators have launched a brief four-question survey to gather public input on the project's design and services. The survey is available in both English and Spanish to ensure broad community participation.
Residents interested in sharing their perspectives have until 8 a.m. on Monday, September 28, to complete the questionnaire. Additional information about the Community Resilience Center concept is available alongside the survey.
