Vista Fire Rescue is inviting residents to a series of free open house events taking place on Saturdays throughout October and into early November in recognition of Fire Prevention Month.
The weekly gatherings will give families an opportunity to participate in hands-on demonstrations, meet local firefighters, and learn important safety information. Attendees can also enjoy complimentary snacks and take home prizes from the events.
Fire department personnel plan to provide educational material covering fire safety basics, wildfire preparedness, and simple steps residents can take to better protect their households. The sessions are designed to be accessible and engaging for all ages.
In a festive touch, Halloween candy will be available for visitors, and the fire department is encouraging attendees to wear costumes if they wish. Information about the open houses is available in both English and Spanish.
