Vista's City Council has scheduled its regular meeting for October 13, with several proclamations and policy discussions on the agenda.
Council members will recognize two community efforts through formal proclamations. The first acknowledges the 45th anniversary of the Friends of the Vista Library organization and designates October as Friends of Libraries Month locally. The second proclamation names October 17 and 18 as Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive Days in Vista.
Among the items slated for individual discussion, the council will consider a resolution expressing support for Proposition 1, identified as the Veterans and Affordable Housing Bond Act of 2026. The governing body will also review proposed changes to its policy governing appointments to municipal boards, committees, and commissions.
Additional discussion topics include a presentation on team building. A consent calendar containing routine matters will be available for approval in a single vote, though any items may be pulled for separate consideration by council members or the public.
The meeting will offer both in-person and remote participation options, with details available through the city's published agenda and staff reports.
