The USS Abraham Lincoln has returned to the San Diego area, with Mayor Todd Gloria publicly acknowledging the vessel's arrival Thursday.
Gloria released a statement welcoming the aircraft carrier home to its local homeport on October 8, 2026.
The mayor's office issued the announcement as the naval vessel completed its deployment and returned to the region where it is based.
