San Diego's public transit agency is ramping up service to help football fans attend San Diego State University's milestone first home conference game as a Pac-12 member. The Aztecs will face Texas State University at Snapdragon Stadium on October 3, with an evening kickoff at 7:30 p.m.

The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System plans to run more frequent Green Line Trolley trains both before and after the game to handle expected crowds. Transit officials are urging attendees to use public transportation rather than dealing with traffic congestion and parking challenges at the venue.

To make the commute more affordable for season ticket holders, MTS is offering a special pass that covers all six remaining home games for just $20. The Aztecs All-Season Pass can be purchased via the PRONTO mobile application or at ticket machines located at trolley stations, with availability ending October 17.

Fans traveling to the game can take advantage of complimentary parking at various Park & Ride facilities connected to the trolley network. Single rides cost $3 and remain valid for two hours, with passengers able to pay by tapping credit cards or mobile devices at station validators. Families benefit from a weekend promotion allowing two children age 12 and younger to ride at no charge when accompanied by a fare-paying adult.

MTS operates the region's trolley system along with nearly 100 bus routes serving 10 municipalities throughout San Diego County. The agency reports more than 250,000 passenger trips on typical weekdays across its network.
