The Casa de Oro library in Spring Valley officially opened its doors this past weekend during a celebration attended by nearly 700 local residents and county officials.
San Diego County Library hosted the grand opening event, which drew significant community turnout. County Supervisor Vice Chair Monica Montgomery-Steppe joined library representatives and residents for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The new facility represents the culmination of planning efforts that incorporated input from area residents. The library is expected to serve as an important community resource for Spring Valley and the surrounding Casa de Oro neighborhood.
