San Diego County residents should plan ahead as government facilities will not be open for business on Monday, September 7, in recognition of the Labor Day holiday.
The closure affects a wide range of public facilities operated by the county. Government offices will be shuttered for the day, along with family resource centers that provide social services to residents throughout the region.
In addition to administrative buildings, the county's public library branches will remain closed for the federal holiday. Health department facilities and animal shelters under county management will also suspend operations for the day.
Normal operating hours are expected to resume on Tuesday, September 8, following the three-day holiday weekend.
