State transportation officials announced plans to temporarily shut down a key freeway connector in San Diego for overnight pavement repairs on two dates in early November.
The ramp linking northbound Interstate 805 to northbound State Route 15 will be inaccessible from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on both Monday, November 2, and Thursday, November 5, according to the California Department of Transportation.
Drivers heading north on I-805 who need to reach SR-15 will need to use an alternate route during the closure hours. Officials suggest continuing to the eastbound Interstate 8 connector, then taking either the northbound I-15 or southbound SR-15 connector ramps as needed.
Caltrans is urging drivers in the area to remain alert for workers and construction vehicles in active work zones. The agency noted that the planned closure dates could shift depending on weather, traffic incidents, or construction-related factors.
Real-time updates on road closures and traffic conditions throughout the region are available through the state's QuickMap website and Caltrans District 11 social media channels.
