Transportation officials will temporarily close a major freeway connector in San Diego for two consecutive nights this week to complete pavement repairs, according to Caltrans.
The ramp connecting northbound Interstate 805 to northbound State Route 15 will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on both Monday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 27. The overnight closure will allow crews to perform necessary pavement maintenance work.
Drivers traveling north on I-805 who need to reach SR-15 will need to use an alternate route during the closure. Caltrans recommends continuing to the eastbound I-8 connector, then accessing either the northbound I-15 or southbound SR-15 connector ramps from there.
Officials are urging motorists to remain alert while driving through construction zones and to watch for highway workers and equipment operating in the area. The planned work schedule could be modified if weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other construction-related issues arise.
