Two highway connector ramps in San Diego will be temporarily shut down over several nights this month as transportation crews perform infrastructure maintenance work, according to Caltrans.

The connector from westbound State Route 94 to northbound Interstate 5 will be closed overnight Sunday, September 13, and again on Thursday, September 17. Both closures will run from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. while workers install concrete barriers. Additionally, the ramp linking eastbound SR-94 to northbound State Route 15 will be inaccessible from Wednesday night, September 16, through early Thursday morning, September 17, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. for guardrail installation.

Drivers attempting to reach northbound I-5 during the closure should remain on westbound SR-94, take the 25th Street exit, and follow F Street to access the northbound I-5 entrance ramp. Those needing northbound SR-15 access can stay on eastbound SR-94 to the Euclid Avenue exit, then turn left to rejoin westbound SR-94, merge onto northbound Interstate 805, and connect to SR-15 if necessary.

Transportation officials cautioned motorists to stay alert in construction zones and watch for workers and equipment operating near travel lanes. The scheduled closures could be modified due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or construction-related factors.
