Transportation officials will temporarily close several freeway connectors in San Diego during the overnight hours of October 29 to complete signage installation work.

The California Department of Transportation announced that the closures will affect connectors between State Route 905 and Interstate 5, beginning at 10 p.m. on Thursday and continuing until 5 a.m. the following morning.

Drivers planning to use the affected routes will need to follow detours during the closure period. Those traveling east on SR-905 should proceed to the Beyer Boulevard exit, continue straight onto Dairy Mart Road, and access I-5 via the on-ramp there. Motorists heading north on I-5 who need to reach westbound SR-905 will be directed to exit at Coronado Avenue, make a left turn, enter southbound I-5, and then use the westbound SR-905 connector.

Caltrans urged drivers to remain alert for workers and equipment if traveling near the construction zone. The agency noted that the closure schedule could be adjusted due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related factors.

Real-time traffic updates are available through the state's QuickMap system and Caltrans' social media channels.
