The Carlsbad City Library will host acclaimed author Heather Morris for a presentation and discussion on Thursday morning, November 5. Morris, whose previous work includes "The Tattooist of Auschwitz," has achieved New York Times bestseller status and will speak about her latest release at the Dove Lane library location.
Her newest book, "The Piano Teacher of Montparnasse," tells a historical story set in Paris during the Nazi occupation in 1942. The event will feature a special guest—the granddaughter of someone who appears as a character in the novel—who will join Morris during the presentation.
The program takes place in the Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium at 1775 Dove Lane, running from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Attendees may arrive a half hour early when doors open, and the event will begin with a live piano performance. Following the author discussion, Morris will be available to sign books for attendees.
This event is part of the library's ongoing series of free author presentations that bring writers from various genres to meet with the community. Residents can attend to hear directly from authors, participate in question-and-answer sessions, and have their books personalized.
