Transportation officials will shut down a key highway connector in San Diego for two overnight periods this week to complete necessary guardrail repairs.

The ramp connecting eastbound Highway 94 to northbound Highway 15 will be inaccessible from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on both Monday, October 19, and Wednesday, October 21, according to the California Department of Transportation.

Drivers who need to access northbound Highway 15 during the closure should stay on eastbound Highway 94 and take the Euclid Avenue exit. From there, motorists should make a left turn to enter the westbound Highway 94 on-ramp, which provides access to northbound Interstate 805 and subsequently northbound Highway 15.

Caltrans officials are urging drivers to remain alert when passing through construction zones and to watch for highway maintenance crews and equipment that may be in motion. The repair schedule could shift depending on weather, traffic incidents, or other unforeseen circumstances related to the work.
