A former employee of Grossmont High School has been arrested on multiple felony charges following an investigation into an improper relationship with a student earlier this year, authorities announced.

Jayden Joe Lang, 19, of San Diego, was taken into custody on August 24 and faces 12 felony counts, including statutory rape. The charges stem from a relationship that lasted roughly one month between March and April of this year, according to the El Cajon Police Department.

School officials at Grossmont High School alerted police to the situation in April after discovering the inappropriate relationship between Lang, who was employed as a Performance Expert, and the student. The Grossmont Union High School District terminated Lang's employment immediately upon learning of the allegations.

Following a comprehensive investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Lang. Police officials stated that no additional incidents involving the suspect have been identified at this time.

Both law enforcement and district officials emphasized their dedication to student safety and ensuring that cases of this nature are thoroughly investigated. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to contact the El Cajon Police Department at (619) 579-3311 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
