The City of Vista will close portions of several downtown streets on Saturday, September 26, for its third annual Cyclovia event, officials announced this week.

South Citrus Avenue will be inaccessible to vehicle traffic between East Broadway and Eucalyptus Avenue during the event. East Broadway will also be closed from South Indiana Avenue to South Citrus Avenue, according to city officials.

A parking facility located at South Citrus Avenue and Eucalyptus Avenue will be unavailable to the public that day, as organizers plan to use the space for a bicycle rodeo and obstacle course activity.

City representatives are encouraging residents who plan to attend the event to consider alternative transportation methods as a way to support the sustainability theme of the gathering. Those interested in learning more about the annual event or accessing bicycle-related resources can visit the city's Cyclovia webpage.
