A new position has been established at the county level to tackle persistent environmental contamination affecting the Tijuana River Valley, with Bridget Premont stepping into the role as the inaugural pollution crisis chief.
The position represents the first time the county has created a dedicated role specifically focused on managing and coordinating responses to the pollution challenges that have plagued the border region for years.
Premont will be responsible for bringing together various regional stakeholders and efforts aimed at addressing the complex pollution issues that have long affected the Tijuana River Valley area.
