Chula Vista officials have announced that the city's compressed natural gas fueling facility will no longer serve the public after July 31, 2026.
The station is situated at the John Lippitt Public Works Center on Maxwell Road. City representatives said the closure is permanent and drivers who have relied on the location will need to find other places to refuel their CNG-powered vehicles.
Municipal officials are advising motorists who currently use the facility to begin planning for alternative fueling options before the closure takes effect next summer.
The city thanked residents for their cooperation as the transition takes place.
