The free shuttle service that carries passengers to Chula Vista's bayfront area has been temporarily suspended due to an unanticipated operational problem, city officials announced.
Municipal authorities are collaborating with the company that operates the shuttle to address the issue and return the service to normal operations. While no firm restart date has been set, officials indicated the shuttle could be running again by the middle of this week.
The shuttle service offers no-cost rides linking the waterfront to surrounding residential areas, points of interest throughout the city, and connections to trolley stops. The route serves both local residents and tourists visiting the Chula Vista bayfront.
City representatives issued an apology for the disruption and thanked riders for their understanding while repair work continues. Additional information will be posted on the city's official website and social media accounts as it becomes available.
