A local school district has received statewide recognition for academic excellence and its work supporting disadvantaged students, according to an announcement from the Educational Results Partnership.
The Chula Vista Elementary School District was placed on the organization's 2026 California Honor Roll, an annual list that highlights districts and schools showing strong results in core subjects and demonstrating progress with historically underrepresented groups. The district received the Star District designation in the rankings.
Twenty individual schools within the district also made the honor roll. Nineteen of those campuses earned Star recognition, while Discovery Charter received the Scholar designation. The Educational Results Partnership is affiliated with the national Campaign for Business and Education Excellence.
Selection for the honor roll draws on standardized test scores from the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress spanning 2024 through 2026. The evaluation examines how students perform in English Language Arts and Math across different demographic groups and grade levels throughout participating schools and districts.
