The William D. Cannon Art Gallery will open its doors to a major biennial exhibition on October 23, displaying artwork from more than 80 artists who live and work in the San Diego area. The show centers around the theme "everywhere home" and represents a significant showcase of regional creative talent.
According to city officials, the gallery serves as an important cultural hub for Carlsbad, helping to strengthen community ties and enhance the city's artistic character. The exhibition brings together both emerging and well-known artists from throughout the region.
Community members will have the chance to meet participating artists during a public reception scheduled for November 7 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the gallery, located at 1775 Dove Lane. Attendees will also be able to cast votes for their preferred piece, which will determine the winner of a community choice award.
Additional programming is planned for the fall season, giving residents opportunities to interact with artists, explore various artistic techniques, and participate in hands-on art-making activities. Those interested in staying informed about upcoming events can subscribe to updates from the city's Cultural Arts team through the municipal website.
