The City of Carlsbad is inviting families to participate in a superhero-themed obstacle course event scheduled for early October at Alga Norte Community Park.
The obstacle race, set for Sunday, October 4, encourages participants to dress as their favorite costumed heroes while navigating a series of physical challenges throughout the park. Parent-child teams will work together to complete approximately 20 different obstacles during the event.
Course features include inflatable structures such as mazes and slides, along with wrecking ball challenges and tightrope elements. The superhero theme extends to villain characters positioned along the route that teams must symbolically defeat as they progress.
Organizers note that the event is subject to possible modification or cancellation depending on weather conditions. Those interested in previewing the experience can view footage from obstacle races held in prior years.
