Local organizations and agencies can now submit proposals for community development funding covering the 2027-2028 program years, county officials announced.
The application window for Community Development Block Grant funding will remain open until 3 p.m. on October 30, 2026.
The federal block grant program provides financial support for projects addressing various municipal priorities. Eligible uses include constructing or improving community facilities, upgrading public infrastructure, and acquiring or maintaining affordable housing units.
Additional qualified expenditures under the program include neighborhood enhancement initiatives and certain categories of public services, though funding for services faces greater restrictions than other project types.
